Overview

The Editor Options window contains settings that only affect the GUTS editor itself - they do not alter any files opened in the editor. These options are used to customize GUTS and simulate various in-game conditions when playing in the editor, like the Player being a certain level or having a specific active quest.

Background

bool
If True the current "Rules Set" will be used for lighting and background color.
Background Color
string
Set the background color. Note: This will not be used if "~Use Rule set" is True.
Far Clip
int
Set the far clip distance of the camera. Anything beyond this distance in the Render Window will not be visible.
Lantern light
bool
If True lighting will be visible.
Play Environment Layout
bool
If True the environment layout specified in the current "Rules Set" will be played.
Rules Set
string
Set the Level Rule Set to be used when playing in the editor.
Show Bloom
bool
If True bloom lighting will be enabled.
Show Fog
bool
If True fog specified in the current "Rules Set" will be visible.
Show Rimlight
bool
If True all Units, unless explicitly set not to, will be rimlit when playing in the editor.
Show Skybox
bool
If True the skybox specified in the current "Rules Set" will be visible.
Backup
Backup Enabled
bool
If True automatic backups will be saved of the current layout.
Interval
int
Set the time ( in minutes ) between automatic backups.
Check Bounds
Check On Save
bool
If True a warning will be given if objects exist outside the specified bounds.
X Max
float
Set the maximum X value for the bounds check.
X Min
float
Set the minimum X value for the bounds check.
Y Max
float
Set the maximum Y value for the bounds check.
Y Min
float
Set the minimum Y value for the bounds check.
Z Max
float
Set the maximum Z value for the bounds check.
Z Min

Set the minimum Z value for the bounds check.
In Game Options
Breakables SpawnClass
string
Set the Spawn Class to use when spawning breakables.
Character level

Set the Player level when playing in the editor.
Class

Set the Player class when playing in the editor.
Console Autorun
string
Specify console commands to be run automatically when playing in the editor. Multiple commands must be separated by a semi-colon.
Dungeon level
int
Set the Dungeon level when playing in the editor.
God
bool
If True the Player will be in God Mode when playing in the editor.
Main Menu Mode
bool
If True the layout will be in Main Menu Mode when playing in the editor.
Monster Autospawn
string
Set the Monster to spawn automatically when playing in the editor.
New Game+ Mode
bool
If True the layout will be in New Game+ Mode when playing in the editor.
Pet Type
string
Set the Pet type to use when playing in the editor.
Player Save
string
Set the Player save game to use when playing in the editor. Note: This will override the set "Class".
Populate
bool
If True the layout will be automatically populated when playing in the editor.
Populate Breakables
bool
If True the layout will be automatically populated with breakables when playing in the editor.
Populate Champions

If True the layout will be automatically populated with Monster Champions when playing in the editor.
Roll Themes

If True the Dungeon and Level Rule Set themes will be rolled when playing in the editor.
SpawnPet

If True the specified "Pet Type" will be spawned when playing in the editor.
In Game Quests
Active Quests

Specify the Player's Active Quest(s) when playing in the editor.
Completed Quests

Specify the Player's Completed Quest(s) when playing in the editor.
In Game Res
Override Res
bool
If True the size of the editor window will be overridden with the specified "Size" values when playing in the editor.
Size

Specify the width and height ( in pixels ) of the editor window when playing in the editor. Note: These values will only be used if "Override Res" is True.
In game Themes
Active Themes

Specify the Themes to set as active when playing in the editor.
Misc
ModsEnabled

If True mods will be enabled when playing in the editor.
Object Control
Ground Snap Bias
float
Specify the height to offset objects when snapping them to the ground.
Show Object MouseOver
bool
If True information will be displayed about the object currently under the mouse in the Render Window.
Working Plane Height

Specify the height of the working plane.
Particles
Show Blood
bool
If True blood particles will be visible when playing in the editor.
Show Weather Effects
bool
If True weather particles will be visible when playing in the editor.
Project
Log to Output
bool
If True all logging is written to the debug output.
PATH

Specify the path of the project.
Show Mod Selector
bool
If True the Mod Selector window will display when launching the GUTS editor.
Render Window
Pause

If True the Render Window will stop updating.
Room Piece Palette
Pre-load Palette
bool
If True the editor will load the Room Piece Palette data on load.
Scene Tree
Background Color

Specify the background color of the Scene Manager window.
Line Color

Specify the line color of the Scene Manager window.
Selected Node Color

Specify the color of selected objects the Scene Manager window.
Text Color

Specify the text color in the Scene Manager window.
Sound
Music In Game

If True music will play when playing in the editor.
Muted
bool
If True all sounds will be muted in the editor.
Show Sound helpers
bool
If True the radius of Sound Objects will be visible.
UI
Auto Play Slide-In
bool
If True the slide in Timeline will be played when loading a UI layout.
Unit Editors
Allow Multiple Editors
bool
If True multiple Unit editors of the same type can be open at the same time.
